My smoothwall machine seemed to be unstable with only 1GB memory, so I popped in another 1GB of RAM. Problem is, Smoothwall does not seem to recognise the second GB RAM. free, vmstat, top all show the original amount of RAM (about 908M available).
What needs to be done to get Smoothwall Express 2.0 to recognise the RAM increase?
What in name do you need 2 gig of memory on a packet filtering firewall for when you're clearly using only 10% of the 1st gig ?
