I have a cisco 4006 port going to the outside interface with a x.x.198.150 of the pix and private addressing 192.168.1.2-254 on the inside interface of the pix. I have then have the inside interface going to 3750 and my workstations and servers off of that. Private addressing that I am using is 192.168.1.x. I would like to managed the switch from the public addressing side. I have gave the the switch a ip of 192.168.1.2 but i am not able to ping the switch from the inside or from outside of the pix. I am allowing ping in from both outside with static translation. I am able to ping another computer but can seem to ping the switch that is on the inside of the pix.
