nvidia firewall interface?

The nvidia firewall uses a browser interface (*GAG*). When I try to use it I invariably get:

"The connection was refused when attempting to contact localhost:3476"

I'm not running any other FW, in fact I even shut that one off. The hosts file points to the right place.

I get the same when I point internet browser to 127.0.0.1:3476, or for that matter 127.0.0.1.

OK, I dunno, maybe I'm too new to win2k? How to overcome this?

A $20 NAT router is a plug it up and go device. ;-)

127.0.0.1, or localhost, might not work. When I was using CyBlock Web filgering software, it, too, had a browser-based interface, but I had to specify either the IP assigned to me by my ISP, or address of the internal DHCP for my network (192.168.0.1, before I turned off ICS). The browser interface on your firewall might have the same problem.

So the solution is what? Put in hosts file:

192.168.0.1 localhost
