Heres a stupid question I gotta ask:
I have just received our Nokia IP380 firewall and I consoled in and setup the interfaces with IPs and gave the device a hostname. The BIG question I have is how do I connect to the firewall (Checkpoint) to setup rules? I have SmartDashBoard on my laptop but I am not sure how to get it to connect to the Nokia IP380.
Any ideas?

First, in voyager, deactivate any CP packages you won't be using, SmartView Monitor, for example. The default, I believe, is still to have everything active. Then run cpconfig for the first time and tell it that's it's a stand alone install. Don't forget to add your IP or hostname as a GUI client and create an administrator. Finally start SD and use the user/pass you created, and type the IP or hostname of the box for SmartCenter Server.
