my antivirus tells me about something like "attack blocked"

Im using Avast. I get this "attack blocked" message 2-3 times a day only. I also often get viruses from just reading newsposting in Outlook Express. Is this common ? The message is displayed for a couple of seconds then disappears, I get no info on who is attacking my cpu, and I have no options to choose from.

Getting viruses with OE by just viewing messages, OE imagining non-existent attachement, or a virus scanner recognizing harmless messages as viruses?

Your CPU gets attacked? :-)

Set OE to not accept attachments and to read only in plain text.
