Looking at PIX syslogs the CheckPoint way

Dec 21, 2004 0 Replies

Ok, so checkpoint uses a proprietary log format but I find the log viewer very handy. It's easy to filter the logs to narrow them to a specific host, a specific port, a specific firewal, a specific time range and so forth...

PIX logs are plain text dreadfull syslogs files. Grabbing information in the log files is tedious (to say the least). I found on the market various software which give me nice graphics and summarized information. This kind of information is usefull BUT I also want a solution to filter the logs the way CheckPoint does.

Some hard core users would tell me that "grep" rules. It certainly does but I need a software which shows me the log in a nice format, sortable and filterable by any column.

Any nice software which does this?
