Being a newbie to databases in specific and internet security in general I have severe problems getting MySQL to work on my WinXP-based computer with Norton Internet Security 2004 as firewall. According to some help texts I must open port 3306 for MySQL to function properly.
Is there anyone out there who can give me a description how to open this ¤%&# port 3306 ?
