How do I test a port on my PC to determine if my firewall has it open or closed?

Nope, it couldn't find the correct IP address. Thanks, anyway.

Yup, that's what I'm saying. BTW, I was told today I dont need to check ports - a wireless firewall only allows 1 port in and 4 ports out. My device instructions say it needs specific ports open. Both can't be true, right?

Thanks. I'll try it tomorrow.

Are you saying that using the links at that site that lead toward the Advanced Port Scanner couldn't determine your IP? The advanced port scanner would be able to let you select one specific port to test and how you wanted to test it, with TCP connect or TCP syn type.

That doesn't sound right. What about

or similar.

A website has to see the IP you look like or it can't send you its webpage.
