I have a question on FW1 implied rule "Accept RIP". I have FW1 NG FP3. In the global properties I check the "Accept RIP" option. When I look at the security rules on this rule I found out that the source is "rip PORT". Does anybody know what the meaning of this source? What is this "rip PORT"?

Would that be 520/udp, aka. router, the RIP port?

520/udp is a destination port, and in the "Accept RIP" implied rule "rip port" was the source port. So, I'm not sure that "rip port" is 520/udp.

First, I want to thank you on the answers, but I think that I didn't get an answer for my question.
This implied rule is shown as follows:
Source: "rip PORT" Destination: Any Service: UDP/rip Action: Accept
I understand that the Service is RIP ? UDP/520, but I don't understand what is the Source "rip PORT"???
Which hosts are defined as "rip PORT"?

Probably any host which sends UDP packets from their UDP port 520 to your UDP port 520. Do you know TCP/IP well?
