Dhillon, Thanks alot for your reply. Now seeing at this capture that you sent i am puzzled even more as to which is the correct way of formatting a gvrp packet?
While searching the web for GVRP format I got the undersatnding that a GVRP PDU may look like
PROTOCOL_ID MESSAGE { ATTRBUTE 1, ..................., ATTRIBUTE n, END_MARKER } END_MARKER
where in ATTRIBUTE 1 - n I can fill in the attribute values with their respective events
but as per the capture that you sent
I can see that each attribute value is coded in a different message which then collectively form part of the PDU.
Though standard states that there can be n messages in the pdu and each message can have n attributes
I am very puzzled
All the GVRP experts over there - please help!!
I would highly appreciate your help thanks, jassy
