SNMP trap from which IP

Hello Experts,

Does anyone know which IP address is used for SNMP trap when an event is occurred on multiple IP Cisco L2 devices? An SNMP trap came from an IP on a 2950, but it should have come from another IP of it since no gateway is there. Not sure why the IP is used as a source. Knowing the reason is important for us since we have a lot of L2s need to be filtered by a policy.

Thanks in advance,
