I need to configure on 1 of my switches. Just wondering if setting it up would require a restart of the switch? or will it cause any disruptions when i do this during the day?

thanks in advance.

A restart should not be required and there should be no disruptions with turning SNMP on the 3500 switch.

However, note that you are modifying the configuration and there is always the possibility that mistakes can happen or you may run into a bug. If it is critical for the switch to stay up during the day, it would be safer to do it in a maintenance window when it is acceptable for the switch to be down just to be conservative and account for the unexpected things that can happen.
