Pix: Change the IP address of the inside interface

Mar 21, 2005 1 Replies

I have a Pix 515E running 6.3(3). The inside interface is currently the gateway on the network (192.168.0.1). To meet some other routing requirements I need to add a router inside of the Pix and renumber the inside interface, moving 192.168.0.1 to the new router, thus:

Router Pix Eth0 Eth1 Inside Int

192.168.0.1 10.10.10.2 10.10.10.1

The Pix has quite a few static routes setup, and is performing NAT.

What's the simplest way to change the IP address of the inside interface and ensure all other settings are changed as necessary? Can the PDM be of help here?

Regards, Brian

I would save the config to a pc, edit, do a search/replace and then send the new config back to the pix.
