How much memory do I need to ensure 2 version of IOS stored?

Sep 02, 2005 1 Replies

I need to order a 3725 router which will be doing WCCP redirects. I've selected the IP IOS (12313).

It comes with 32MB of flash but I want to make sure that two versions of IOS can be stored so when an upgrade doesn't work for whatever reason we can fall back to the previous version.

My question is how much flash memory does an IOS require?

Thank you for any advice.

Hi Farouq,

You may wish to investigate the Cisco IOS Software Selector:

The Cisco IOS Software Selector finds the right Cisco IOS software and the amount of memory you need to run the Cisco IOS features you want to run on your Cisco platform.
