I have a cisco aironet 1200 with IOS 12.2. I need to forward a UDP port that is not covered in the default ip-helper command ports. I have used the ip forward-protocol command for this exact port at other location when I had routers between the devices that were on different VLAN's. There is no ip forward-protocol command on the aironet so I am assuming I will not be able to do this. Can anyone confirm this can not be done or have an idea on another way to forward my udp port?

Have you configured your Aironet 1200 as a ROUTER? It's VERY UNUSUAL. In most cases the Aironet APs work as a "bridge", providing a connectivity at the Layer2. Then you connect them to a Switch, which then connects them into the Layer3 Core. That's where you should configure "ip forward-protocol".
