Equivalent of InvARP in Frame Relay for IPv6

Dec 12, 2007 1 Replies

Hello,

In Frame Relay, Inverse ARP (InvARP) allows to dinamically resolve a DLCI to an IPv4 address.

I have heard that the equivalent for IPv6 is called Inverse Neighbor Discovery (RFC 3122). That is, Inverse Neighbor Discovery allows to dinamically resolve a DLCI to an IPv6 address.

Does Cisco Routers already have support for Inverse Neighbor Discovery????

I am using Cisco Routers 2811.

Thank you very much for your answer.

Eric.

Eric,

To my knowledge, nope. You will have to use static mappings (frame- relay map ipv6 )!
