I have 2 routes to a remote office. A & B.
What is the easiest way to force EIGRP to use route A and only use route B in case of overload or breakdown of route A?

Force the metric to be higher for the less preferred routes.
I don't use eigrp but maybe yuo can set the metric manually or maybe you have to fiddle with setting the "bandwidth" or "delay" on the interface.
Had a very quick play and it looks like the latter. bandwidth and delay,.
EIGRP's uses a composite metric calcualted using bandwidth and delay.
It is best not to modify bandwidth as this mucks up the bandwidth utilization uif using SNMP, etc.
Best to increase interface delay on both side of the link which is less preferred
Hello Merv,
Can you please explain how increasing the interface delay helps?
Thank You,
Victor
