Hi While trying to connect to a remote windows-based VPN server (that obviously didn't work), I was told by the Windows techie to do the following: a)Install GRE Patch 1723 b) enable PPTP c) enable IP protocol 162
The Cisco Catalyst Series switches (2900, 2950 & 26000 that route packets between two subnets 192.168.5.0 and 192.168.11.0 are behind a PIX firewall. The PIX won't block the remote server IP.
I tried VPN connection to remote from home without routers and firewalls. The home network is behind DSL. It still didn't work.
Can someone please tell me how to go about doing this? Thanks
