Cisco 501 PIX and Dynamic IPs

Oct 10, 2006 2 Replies

I need to allow a user access via IP, BUT they don't have a static IP. They do have a domain name xxxx.yyyy.com. VPN is not an option. I know I can statically assign a 'name' to and IP inside a pix. Is there anyway to have the PIX grant access via an access-list by DNS vs a static IP?

The PIX is a 501 running Version 6.3(4)

Thanks

nope...why not setup vpn? Only 1 end needs to have a static for that.

Well this client decided to use a Satellite setup...That cuts through-put by around 75% and makes it totally unusable...

Thanks
