I'm trying to discover network topology using cdp. The catalyst 6500 announces its local interface as 1/1 to remote switches but if i query cdp mib looking for the local interface i get an index. I tried to find that index in mib-2::interfaces but it returns "short wave fiber gigabit ethernet". I need to match local interface to interfaces announced to other switches. Is there a mib were i can find this info? Or do you have a better idea?
