Has anyone re-created Part 1 of CCIE security lab scenario in this book and gotten it completely working as described in the book? I'm referring to the lab scenario beginning on page 441/442 in Chapter 8.
If you have, I would greatly appreciate you sharing your experiences with me and how you were able to get certain portions of it working. Part of my issue has to do with the fact that I'm not that well versed on BGP configurations and the nuances of IGP protocol redistribution.
The full "working" configs provided in the book are riddled with errors, are incomplete, and do not provide a full working configuration to match the stated requirements in the book.
I'm working with IOS versions and equipment nearly identical to that described in the book.
btw: I'm very close to getting Part 1 of this lab working, however, after finally getting BGP working, there is an apparent routing loop which is causing the entire routing topology to re-converge every couple minutes. Debug ip routing has provided the routing loop clues.
