ASA 7.2 & 8.0: disconnect PPPoE session

Dec 29, 2008 0 Replies

Hallo,

we have setup a ASA v7.2 or v8.0 with a perfectly working PPPoE connection. I would like to disconnect the PPPoE connection manually with CLI or SNMP commands. Background is the following: German provider disconnects the DSL connection every 24h. We would like to control the point of time of the short connection loss.

There is the (router?) IOS command "clear pppoe all", which is not available in the ASA command repository. I found no corresponding command in the aaa-session or vdpn commands. Is there any way to accomplish this with ASA commands?

Thanks a lot... Sven
