There are many sections which the Telco Apprentices rotate to, one of them being related to Cisco and Networks. The future looks to be more network based. They currently pay for apprentices to do their CNNA and Telecommunications CERT IV, many go on to do the Adv Diploma.

1st year - 3 days training at TAFE, 2 days on the job + Currently 1st yr training plan includes course such as Defensive Driving, Harness Heights and Rescue, OH&S Construction induction and many more. 2nd year 1 day training at TAFE, 4 days on the job. + Cabling License + more. 3rd year - Cabling License endorsements Optic, CAT 5, etc + more
