Convert HP6310 printer to wireless?

I just bought an all-in-one HP printer (OJ-6310) that is network ready, i.e., already have an ethernet port. Can I hook up a USB Wireless dongle and let it connect to my wireless network so I can place the printer somewhat out of the way from the wifi router. If so, how can I program the dongle to enter my WEP key? Thanks.

I guess that's an OfficeJet 6310.

No. The USB dongle is stupid. The 6310 printer would need to have drivers and setup utilities that talk to the USB dongle. It doesn't.

You can't. The feature is not present in the 6310.

Your best bet is an ethernet wireless bridge, which has the configuration built into the bridge. The HP ethernet drivers should (hopefully) allow all the features and functions to operate over the wireless as it does over the ethernet cable.
