Norton Anti Virus vs XP firewall.

Hi, Norton AntiVirus turned off my WINXP HOME Firewall because it said it conflicts with Nortons Firewall which is used for WORMS? Won't I lose out on Security if Norton ONLY uses a firewall for worms?

Should I reactivate it and get rid of Norton AV? Or should I keep Norton AV and dectivate the WIN XP Firewall.

UGH!!

Thanks, Mike

The XP firewall is inbound only, and only blocks ports. You don't want two software firewall running at the same time, or you may have performance issues, along with other weird problems.

The Norton firewall also blocks inbound ports, but gives you greater control over what can be allowed, along with control of outgoing connections.
