Use ISDN router as switch?

Hello all,

This might be a daft question, so please don't shoot me down in flames!!

I have a Cisco SOHO 97 router installed (uptime nearly 2 years :-), happily running my broadband connection at home. But, the 4 port switch is now full, and I need more ports. To keep everything nice and neat, I'd like a switch which matches the SOHO and will stack with it. Now, I know such a thing does not exist, so here's the question.

Can you disable the ISDN interface on a Cisco 800 series ISDN router, and solely use it as a 4 port switch (well, 3 port switch I guess as 1 port is chained from the main router).

Thanks in advance!

Chris

PS - don't have the space for a 19" rack size router or switch...

That will work ok.

An expensive unmanaged 4 port switch though.
