Is it better to read Cisco Press' INTRO & ICND books, or Sybex/Lammle's Study Guide? I have both and it seems both have a little different material. What book(s) is/are best to truly learn/understand the basic concepts I'll need to continue my career? Which is easier to read/understand? Thanks!

According to my experiences, the Cisco Press series is the best option to prepare to the all Cisco exams.
