Despite the long odds, big corporations appear determined to sell fast

There are still a lot of Americans that the big corporations are not even trying to sell fast internet to.
"All we really have to do is get someone to give broadband a try,"
> said Bill Kula, a Verizon spokesman.
In some cases, all they have to do is make the service available. But they won't. They're investing hundreds of millions upgrading the speeds of their existing broadband customers, while ignoring those who would be grateful for any speed at all.
