Hi, I have been analyzing the various flow controls. I wonder why Rate based flow control are never used in Data Link Layer ? Why is feedback based flow control alone being promoted in Data Link Layer ?
I tried few links in internet, but they do not seem to convey the reasons for the absence of rate based flow control in Data Link Layer. Any ideas ?
