I have a customer that needs a source for 5.8GHz, low gain, wide beamwidth, patch antennas. An omni will not work for this application. I've found two sources, but surely there must be more. There are plenty of high gain 5.8GHz antennas, but few low gain. Of course, I need a few literally overnight.
So far:
5.1 GHz to 5.9 GHz 8 dBi Flat Patch Antenna - Integral SMA-Female Connector - HG5158P. $50. Uses SMA-female (not RP). No pigtail supplied. 75 deg horiz, 60 deg vert. Made by Hypergain for L-Com.7 dBi AWM-ANT58-PCB. No housing, but should work. A connector will need to be added to the coax:
