long distance receiving

hello im dennis, i have a quastion, since a couple of weeks i rent a room and whe have no internet yet, a friend of my lives 2 streets from me (in 100 meter range) i was wondering if its possible to receive his internet connection. i know he doesnt want to change his hardware so i cant change that.



i there a possibility to receive over long distance? i dont have a wireles card in my pc, i have 1 pci slot free but its not usefull because all the other cards are in the way.



is there a possibility to receive over longer distance? i saw a antenna for 30 euros in a store it was about 30 cm's long

Two streets over means you probably do not have LoS (Line of Sight) between the two WiFi antennas, which means no joy.
