After reading the fine web pages using Michael Erskine's templates, I tried my hand at a similar project. The antenna is made of aluminum flashing and "flat" stock, and measures about 14" x 36" (36cm x 91cm).

It performs quite well, exhibiting good directivity, though being at the limits for what one can expect from a dipole feed. Experiments are ongoing with a biquad feed, and indicate that it works better with larger reflectors.
