Enable encryption with a long nonsense passphrase. WPA is preferred, but

WEP will suffice as long as you change the encryption keys / passphrase

about once a week. Also password protect your wireless router's /AP's

menu configuration so that no one can make changes to your settings.

Change the default SSID and enable MAC address filtering. Example of a

long nonsense passphrase is:

7C&0(SXh)hI;u--5YDDgr*jrB^sr9($ZW0)B56p4NZB:P3;2__hyt#IZs^ Vw3g
