HOT to the Touch - 3COM Wireless 11g USB Adapter-3CRWE254G72

3COM OfficeConnect Wireless 11g USB Adapter-3CRWE254G72 Plugged it in and MAN does it get hot, not warm, but HOT; not quite untouchable, but damn near close. It seems to operate fine at this temperature, but does anybody have longevity with this product?

I have the very same adapter and it certainly does get very warm.

Originally I had it lying flat on my desk, but occasionally I lost connectivity. Now I always have it sitting upright and its been perfect with any issues.

The website shows the following:

Environmental Range: Operating temperature:

0 to 50C (32 to 122F)
