I haven't done any measurements on this antenna, but in comparison with the built-in antenna on my wifi card (SMC), the antenna is no better than the card. Save yourself the $10 sale price next time Fry's dumps them.
Guess it's time to build that 2nd generation biquad....
Hi, Gain is one thing but there is another factor in an antenna. Radiation pattern(direction and angle).
It is an omni. In one location, I saw the other wifi antenna. It was vertically polarized, just like the airlink. Also, it was in the same plane as my notebook as both were at desk level.
