Skype-out half duplex problem

Feb 05, 2006 0 Replies

Setup:

2.4Ghz, 1GB RAM, Win XP, Linksys router, Linksys CIT200 phone, cable internet.

I'v noticed that skype-out calls appear to be half-duplex. I.e. If the other person is talking and I start talking as well, the other persons sound stops. Other than that there are practically no problems, great sound quality, no skips... It makes lively conversations pretty much impossible though... Any one else noticing similar problems ?

Thanks

By the way, Using my router in wireless mode results in ALOT of lost packets even though I have full signal strength. So, try connecting using cat 5 cable if you have problems with lost packets...
