I have a intersil HC55185 SLIC (subscriber line interface circuit). With an embedded board having sound interface i am trying to develop ATA telephone interface.
From the datasheet of SLIC i didn't get enough information on how to
detect various events. The F0,F1, F2 , DET pins are connected to GPIO's.
Can anybody please tell me about the basic initilization of the SLIC and expalin me the various operating modes and also how to detect the events like on hook , off hook , ringing etc.
