What a T-Mobile/Dish deal could mean for the wireless industry

by Trey Williams

A Dish/T-Mobile super-company would be just the latest case of a cable provider joining forces with a communication company. There's the recently announced $67 billion deal merging Time Warner Cable Inc. and Bright House Networks into Charter Communications Inc. As well as reports that AT&T Inc. is close to tying a bow on its $49 billion deal to acquire DirecTV, which would create the largest pay-TV company in the U.S.

A deal between Dish and T-Mobile would have obvious implications for other providers in what's become a highly competitive dash to meet viewers wherever they're watching. So, analysts at Wells Fargo Securities put together a note on what the potential deal could mean for everyone else.
