Verizon on St. Clair County: 'Signals in that area have been turned up' [telecom]

One wireless carrier said cell users should begin to experience fewer headaches along some areas of the St. Clair County waterfront after nearly two years of flaky service.

"I spoke with our network team, and I can confirm signals in that area have been turned up and we have seen improvement in the area," Andy Choi, a regional Verizon spokesman, said in a statement Monday.

More than a year ago, Verizon officials said the company had complied with a Federal Communications Commission order to turn down its cell strength at the end of 2016 after Canadian cell carriers complained American signals were bleeding over the international border.
