It was reported earlier this month that Verizon was getting ready to close yet another loophole that let those grandfathered into unlimited data, keep their plan. Basically how it worked was you.d buy a phone, put it on a feature phone line and add a data package. Then you.d activate it on the unlimited data line a week or so later. Then your feature phone line would drop back down to the price it was on before, usually $9.99. However, according to Droid Life, as of yesterday, that loophole has been closed, unfortunately.
