PUTNAM COUNTY (Tennessee) - A 911 texting trial with AT&T that was slated to start this summer in Putnam County is now anticipated to begin this fall.
"We are excited about Next Generation 911 and all the capabilities it will give us as time goes on. We are just ready for the wireless carriers to establish the testing schedule with us and move forward," said Mike Thompson, director of Putnam County 911.
