service knocked out Local News - Thursday, June 07, 2007 @ 07:00Thousands of residents in south-end Barrie and parts of northern Innisfil were left without phone service yesterday, after Bell Canada experienced a system failure.
In Barrie, the Painswick and Allandale areas were affected. Affected exchanges include 722, 725, 733, and 431.
Customers were advised to use cellphones in the event of an emergency.
Service is expected to be restored sometime today.
