May I recommend the Pilot Varsity disposable fountain pen? It uses a gas-sealed chamber rather than a bladder or replaceable cartridge, and as a result it is pretty much completely immune to clogs. Although it can dry out if the cap is left off long enough, it is almost impossible to clog up.
It has the convenience of a ballpoint, but it feels and writes like a fountain pen. Absolutely wonderful.
