Many looking to make Verizon wireless calls on their smartphones Friday were unable to do so because of widespread outages. Verizon has been down for some customers since 11:15 a.m. EST Friday, according to outage tracking website Down Detector.
"Most of the Verizon outages were reported in the Orlando area."
