Comcast said 125,000 customers in Oregon and Southwest Washington remained without internet service on Tuesday morning, the "vast majority" of them because they don't have electricity, either.
"As the utilities come in and restore power, we are right behind them, restoring our service," Comcast spokeswoman Amy Keiter wrote in an email Tuesday. She said safety protocols require Comcast to get clearance from electrical utilities before making repairs.
