A promotional announcement and discount coupon for AT&T Mobile came in the mail yesterday for my mother. She's been gone for some time now. Too bad their mailing lists are so out of date.
However, that wasn't as wacky as a bank sending my father a promotion; with my father being gone for 20 years (and I wasn't living where I am now when he passed).
How much do these companies pay for their mailing lists?

Don't feel bad: my father passed in 1992, and my mother told Readers' Digest of the fact, but to this day, I still get a copy every month as part of his "lifetime" subscription.
It's my monthly entertainment: picking out the little gems of (sometimes subtle) right-wing bias and contrasting them to the (always obvious) paens to good-old-American-values. Serves them right.
