Sims and Novell

Current we have a non-ul central station. we are running novell netware 5.0. we upgraded server hardware and have found that it isn't compatable. when reviewing our options, we found that we can either upgrade to 5.1, which our vendor tells us is the last supported version of novell, or downgrade to novell

4.2. Due to the lack of manufacturers support, we really don't like either option. Is there anyone else who has encountered this problem? If so, how did you end up resolving this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

4.2 is the last ver to support SFT III and is required for UL to have 2 redundent servers. You could switch to NW 6.1 (last ver before Suse) and use a SAN (storage area network) for your redundent backup. SFT III is the best solution, have 2 servers linked with a dule fiber and away you go.
