Didn't Disney make The Goof Troop? I was wondering if the Disney company ever took any notice of this site

Seems like the name "goofy" and goofysplace would be too much like Mickey and Mickey's place.

Obvious Parody. Disney has lost lawsuits based on copyright infringement in the past due to content or charachters used in obvious parody.
The one I recall in particular was Mickey flipping the finger to some past middle easter tyrant. Disney filed suit and lost. Obvious parody was the reason.
Caiaphus or Herod?
He used to have a picture of Disney's "Goofy" on the main page. That was removed. Now he's got some guy in a funny hat. I don't think Disney's at all concerned that "goofysplace" can be confused with "Goofy". That's just plain "goofy".
