unless you own your own central station :), then it is easy
Its not who owns the station its how easy the software is to configure
If you own the station then you should know how to configure a zone in the software. Central Stations configure zones every day. If you dont know how, you have no business using it.

Not always that easy and it has nothing to do with who owns what, some software doesn't take well to changing an event from say a burg to an environmental
Ok, Ill give you that it is not who owns what.. It is however who knows what. Although some software may be harder to change then others if you know how to use it you should have no problems. If you do you need new software.
