I have a 2002 Toshiba TV/VCR/DVD combo and the remote does not work anymore. I bought a new Philips universal remote controller and tried programming all the codes under Toshiba, but none of them worked. I then tried the remote on my Sampo TV using Sampo's code, and it worked.
Does anyone know the code for this particular TV combo, or perhaps the IR receiver on the TV itself is broken?

could it be that the philips remote is being programmed wrong? do they have a tech to walk you thru it? if it works on the sampo and not the toshiba maybe the ir is broken on the tv or blocked or dirty. I hope philips does have tech support for you. sounds like you do have the wrong codes.
